SmartTalks is the brainchild of Caroline McKeon who, in 1990, formed a company called Caroline-on-Time to do simple office work that people hated to do.  She wrote letters, typed resumes, created spreadsheets, and updated rolodexes.  With the web becoming more and more available to the lay person, she changed the name of her company to DreamWeb and set out to learn the fine art of HTML editing.  Soon her focus quickly shifted to include the creation of simple one- or two-page web sites.

Everyone with a brain knows that technology ran out of control, and at an accelerated pace.  Soon it seemed that everyone was doing websites...bottom feeders we called them back then.  DreamWeb soon eased out of the website business entirely, steering its sights more toward small business consulting.  Armed with an MBA, and with over 25 years of business acumen, Caroline (in order to give more clarity as to what services she was indeed offering) changed the name of the business from DreamWeb, Inc. to DreamWeb Office Consultants, Inc. 

Then in 2001, after taking extensive classes in Las Vegas in both public speaking and seminar training, the subsidiary SmartTalks was formed.  At first, the main focus was teaching others how to form and grow their own businesses, because survey results pointed to that as being the number one desire of over 90% of Americans.  Running a highly successful consulting business, Caroline soon realized that there were many people who were already in business but who needed key information on important issues such as Time Management, Great Customer Service, Improving Employee Morale, etc.  Her speaking repertoire soon grew to include not only business topics, but motivational ones as well.
